Special Characteristics: 
Coat colour is mainly brown or reddish brown; cervico-thoracic hump, small to medium in size; dewlap is moderate and thin of skin; horns are moderate but larger than the zebu; deep chest and barrel; well-sprung ribs; small and well-proportioned udder with good teat placement; calm disposition; milk production is variable; used for milk, draught and meat (Rege and Tawah, 1999).
Main Location: 
Inhabits the highlands of north-western Ethiopia, mainly in the Horro Gudru area of eastern Wollega as well as adjoining parts of western Shoa and Illubabor.
Developed out of interbreeding of various Abyssinian Highland Zebu and Nilotic Sanga, particularly the Abigar.
