Special Characteristics: 
The coat colour is usually black but it may be white, tawny, grey or spotted; the coarse wool is used for blankets and cloaks (Mason and Maule (1960).
Main Location: 
Maintained by the Shimenzana tribe of the Seneafe area of Akale Guzay.
Origin: 
Almost certainly descended from very ancient importations from Arabia across the narrow Bab-el-Mandeb straits at the mouth of the Red Sea (Wilson, 1991).
